Sizing & Fit

Full Length vs 3/4 Length

Full-Length Insoles – Run the entire length of your shoe, from heel to toe. They replace or cover your shoe’s existing insole completely. Best for athletic shoes, walking shoes, work boots, and any footwear with enough removable depth to fit them without making the shoe too tight.

¾-Length Insoles – Stop just behind the ball of the foot. They don’t extend under the toes, leaving the shoe’s original stock insert exposed. Ideal for dress shoes, heels, flats, or any tighter-fitting shoe where space in the toe box is limited.

Clinically Proven

FitMyFoot custom insoles are clinically proven to relieve pain and discomfort caused by:

Plantar fasciitis

Flat feet and fallen arches

Heel and arch pain

Knee, hip, and lower back pain

Fatigue from prolonged standing or walking

A Half Step There...?

Context: I have very high arches and also very wide feet. (E per fitmyfoots measurement database which I have on file) With that noted, I've now had my insoles for about 4 weeks and unfortunately, I will likely move back to my custom orthotics for my day to day wear. There are 2 primary reasons behind this:

1. Due to my arches/width, I tend to need more support than cushion. The insoles I received, while providing support are almost too cushioned and my feet are usually more sore by the end of the day than with my custom orthotics. This is even more pronounced during gym time, with my feet usually being more sore at the end of my routine and the next day than they are with my old stand by orthotics. I also trend towards a shoe that's very firm and solid, I can't wear gel or extremely spongey/foamy shoes because of the support I require. The fitmyfoot insoles also have more "flex" to them in the harder plastic than my current insoles do and I think this makes a noticeable difference.

2. Insole width. The width of the insoles at the ball of my feet is far to narrow. I have to wear wide shoes and always remove the insoles they come with to place my own insoles in them... The fitmyfoot insoles are not wide enough and so my feet catch the edges of the insole and roll off or get pinched in the gap in my shoes. I had to actually cut my original custom insoles to trim them down a bit because they were too wide at first but they fit more snuggly in my shoes and I don't feel like the ball of my feet or toes are rolling off the sides. Just from looking at my fitmyfoot insoles, I felt like they were not wide enough to match my shoe width. I've included a pic for reference.

Hence the 2 point deduction and 3 star score. Obviously you can't beat the pricing vs standard custom orthotics and the experience outside of that was fine. (No issues w/ shipping/timeliness/health benefits and the assistant at the booth I did the scan at was very pleasant and helpful.) I'm likely an edge case here with my ball girth and instep height being well above the average for men on the graphs. I think some potential options for more support vs. cushion/padding my help in the future. For now I'll simply keep my fitmyfoot insoles in my "spare" pair of shoes for running to the grocery or errand running but will stick to my old insoles for by day job dress shoes, workouts and biking/hiking.
