My name is Sarah Bogue. I'm 26 years old and I was born and raised in North Vancouver, BC, Canada. Ever since I can remember, being active and playing sports has always been a huge part of my life, I was never one to just sit still – my choice sports were basketball and field hockey... Playing Team Sports
Soon after graduating I stopped playing team sports and started concentrating on university and my modeling career. I landed contracts with a couple of agencies and was even approached by a few international agencies to model abroad. It's (almost) every girl's dream – well, it certainly was mine. However, I graciously declined the offers to focus on school.
After years and years in the industry – and upholding an unrealistic body image for far too long – the pressure started to take its toll on me mentally and physically. I really wasn't happy with how I looked, and I knew I needed to change. These before and after pictures (below) show me during my modeling career at 5'10 and 105 lbs. I'm now 135lbs with - believe it or not - the exact same measurements! It was actually after this picture that I decided that I would never feel or look like that again.
Upholding An Unrealistic Body Image
That day I went out and bought a gym membership... It was this day that my life changed forever! That was 3 and a half years ago and I can honestly say that it was the best decision I have ever made. Not only do I have a body that I can be proud of, I feel 100x healthier, I have the self confidence that I've always dreamed of and I can honestly say that I have never been happier. A Gym Membership
Recently, as of this spring, I decided to take my training to the next level and really start to push myself. After years of wavering on the subject, I finally decided that I'm ready to walk on stage and enter into my first fitness competition. As a result I have increase the intensity and frequency of my workouts in order to put on size before I start prepping this winter. Thank goodness I have FitMyFoot to get me through the increased work load.
